Dogbox Records began on a battered little 4-track tape machine back in the 80s. That’s where the dream started — recording homemade demos, chasing record deals, and learning the hard way that the music industry wasn’t fair at all. Getting a contract was nearly impossible, and when you finally did, the labels kept almost everything.

So a promise was made: one day, when it was possible, we’d build our own record label — not just for us, but for upcoming artists who deserved better. A label that would be fair, honest, and focused on what truly matters: the music.

In 2000, Dogbox Records was officially born.

Today, we cover the full journey of an artist.
We help with songwriting, production, recording, mixing, and mastering across four studios in South Africa and the UK. Our music is released through one of the biggest global distributors, Sony / The Orchard, ensuring worldwide reach.

We also handle in-house merch printing, photography, video production, and drone shoots. and we even handle full-length live broadcasts — streaming entire shows for hours direct to Facebook and YouTube when artists need that kind of exposure.

Our artists are regularly heard on radio charts — because when you put the music and the people first, great things happen.
